Each soldier in the Volunteer regiments, just as in the regular army, had to carry a certain
amount of equiment. As per the 1892 Volunteer Regulations, we try to
carry at least the minimum equipment that the volunteer soldiers would
have used.
Each soldier would have had to pay for his uniform
and equipment himself, so of course there were normally some
discrepancies where some soldiers were missing parts of their equipment.
This is why the items marked with a star are mandatory, whereas you
don't have to have the full list, although we encourage it if possible.

If you decide to join our ranks, for the first few training sessions and/or shows we can normally lend you the basic uniform. We have several dummy training rifles for learning the drill with, although the rifle will be the most expensive part of your uniform if you decide to purchase everything. Don't worry though, again we have several contacts in this area and can normally get a good price on these for you.
